Parents Helping Parents/South Bay District, holds regular meetings that are open to all interested adults in the South Bay. They usually occur on a Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Professional educators, therapists and others involved in helping children with learning differences are invited to speak. The purpose of the meetings is to provide information and support to parents who have children with learning disabilities or ADHD. There is no charge for parents to attend the meetings and reservations are not required. Please refer to the Annual Calendar of Events section within this website for specific dates, topics, and names of guest speakers. The meeting locations are usually held at the following location unless
otherwise indicated: Administrative Offices Board Meeting Room 3801 Via la Selva Palos Verdes Estates Directions are as follows: From Hawthorne Boulevard go to Palos Verdes Drive North (this is slightly south of Pacific Coast Hwy.) and head West on this street for approximately one mile. Turn right on Via Adarme. (Note: There will be a sign along the street to advise you where to turn to reach the Palos Verdes School District.) Once you turn, the building is straight ahead. To park: Turn right on the street in front of the school (Via la Selva) and then make a left into the next opening of the parking lot. We meet in the Board Room which is located in the front and center part of the buildings...just behind the flag pole. It is visible from the front parking lot. |
